Hey you there--

I wanted to give you an update on what's been happening.

It's been really tough getting Trip played on the radio, and I'm not going to pretend I know exactly what makes a song radio-friendly. The thing is, if I wrote music thinking that radio play was the most important thing I wouldn't be writing it from a place of truth... And the truth is, my favourite albums aren't even played on the radio these days.

Yet, to get on a big tour, and to get the music out there, it seems to be an important stepping stone to get on radio. Especially since music is my passion, I know I can be a little stubborn when it comes to staying true to your vision and sound, and I know I'll always be that way... but I also know the industry changes so fast and to keep connected and engaged sometimes you have to bite the bullet, in a way. (By the way, those aren't my words, they're people in my life I trust to help steer me when my vision gets blurry. I never saw the day I would have a twitter account... ) But, I do get it.

To me, it's always been solely about the music. And, it can still be solely about the music - it's just finding a way that works to share it with as many people as possible.

That being said - the album is finished and represents everything Brendan and I wanted it to. The idea of doing a radio remix of Trip was mentioned--and maybe some other tracks as well--and I actually like the idea.

I like it because Trip and maybe others will have potential to get broad airplay, and if people can get a feel for it, and if they enjoy it (the clever ones, fingers crossed ;)), then hopefully they'll be drawn to the album.

Our goal was to make a cohesive album where every song brought you into the next... Trip feels like a sneak preview to me.

I'm really excited for a couple of cool shows coming up this summer. I feel like it's baby steps, and important ones to make.

I want so badly to be playing all over the world for you guys. It is my intention to do so.. I'm going to bat and I'm playing ball for you. Well, with you!

While Trip's getting a make-over, I'm already looking forward to a second single. Actually, I'm already looking forward to the next 10 albums. Growing in general is a pretty awesome thing and something I'm thankful for everyday!

Thanks for your support during this wonderful, musical journey. The highest highs and the painful lows, it's all meant to be.

Yes, Voodoo is now released!

DIGITAL VERSIONS are available THROUGHOUT THE WORLD starting NOW here on AlexzOnline (just click in the upper right corner of this page to go to the AlexzOnline Store). And it is now on iTunes and many other online services (the only exception is that iTunes in Canada only will not have it available until March 30th).

PHYSICAL VERSIONS are available NOW for PRE-ORDER from this site at the AlexzOnline Store, and is also available for pre-order from many other sites such as Amazon and CDbaby, but in all cases will be shipped on or after March 30th.

RETAIL STORES will carry the physical Voodoo album IN CANADA ONLY starting March 30th. Voodoo will not be available in retail stores outside Canada. (To get physical copies outside Canada you will have to order them to be shipped from the AlexzOnline Store here, or from Amazon, CDbaby etc.)

A few days later than scheduled, Brendan and I are heading off now for New Orleans! Video shoot, photos, and some behind-the-scenes interviews. Maybe well film some unplugged performances of a few of the songs too.. "In the late 19th century the Quarter became a less fashionable part of town, the many immigrants from southern Italy and Ireland settled in the section. Quarters cheap rents and air of age and neglected decay attracted an artistic, bohemian community" - Can't wait..

Finally some news for you on my album.

At first, the news might sound negative, but bear with me --

In these times of recession (that sounds like the beginning of a very serious political announcement ...lol), and extreme recession in the record industry (drum-roll), Epic has released over a third of their artists from their contracts and, la dee da.... I'm one of those artists...

The positive side of this is that my brother Brendan and I are now free to create and release our music exactly as we had always wanted. Rather than face daily questions about whether this song or that song is or is not a radio single, we can create and share with you exactly the music and the performances that we feel is true to our sound and vision.

Bren and I have been back in the studio working on a new album. It won't contain any of the ten songs that were previously recorded under Epic -- unfortunately, those will be tied up contractually for the next while. We look forward to releasing them some day, but for now we're stoked to be creating new material and an entirely new album, and aim to have it finished in the next couple of weeks, out to you by early Fall.

The thing is, we can't do it all by ourselves! More than ever we need you guys. We need your support, we need your help in promoting the music and getting it out there.

Today we're launching our new website here at www.alexzonline.com. We need each and every one of you to register to this site so we can contact you directly. This way we can share with you some of the tracks as we're working on them and send you some exclusive new pictures and other moments leading up to the release.

I thank you for your incredible patience and support throughout this journey. It's my personal mission to bring you kick-ass music and share what I feel inside. I cant wait until you hear what were working on...
